Privacy Policy

myTournamentClock ("we", "us") provides a hosted poker-tournament clock and live-viewer service at mytournamentclock.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it deliberately short and plain.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you have an organizer account, we store your email address, an optional display name, and a securely hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.
- Tournament data you create. Tournament names and settings, player names/nicknames, seat assignments, chip counts, and final standings that you or the tournament director enter, or that the clock reads automatically when Auto-Pilot mode is enabled (see below).
- Viewer access. For password-protected tournaments we store a securely hashed view password and issue a short-lived, per-tournament cookie when a viewer unlocks the page.
- Basic technical data. Standard server logs (e.g. request times and error diagnostics) needed to operate and secure the site.
Auto-Pilot mode
Auto-Pilot is an optional feature a tournament director can turn on to let the clock manage the tournament automatically. When enabled, the director selects a single window on their own device that shows the live action (for example, an online poker table), and the clock monitors it to detect tournament progress — reading player names, chip counts, and hand numbers — so it can advance levels, update chips, and keep the live view current without manual entry.
- The selected window is shared only with our backend server, never with other users or viewers. It stays on the director's device and is sent to our server only as periodic still images, which we analyze solely to monitor the live action and manage the tournament.
- We do not keep those images. They are processed and discarded — except when the director explicitly turns on "Save snapshots for debugging," in which case recent frames are stored so reading issues can be reviewed and improved. The director can turn this off at any time.
- In-tournament reading of names, chips, and hand numbers runs on our own server (no third party). A one-time "Detect players" helper may send a single captured image to a third-party AI service to read player names during setup.
- Auto-Pilot runs only while the director has it turned on; the director chooses which window to use and can stop it at any time. Only enable it on a window whose contents you're comfortable having read.
How we use information
We use the information only to provide and operate the service — running your tournaments, showing the live view, and keeping accounts secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
We use essential cookies only: to keep you signed in, to protect forms against cross-site request forgery, and to remember that a viewer has unlocked a password-protected tournament. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Data retention and your choices
We keep account and tournament data for as long as your account is active. You can edit or delete your tournaments at any time, and you can request that we delete your account and its data by contacting us. New sign-ups may be closed from time to time; that does not affect existing accounts.
Security
Passwords are hashed, traffic is served over HTTPS, and sign-in/authentication data is protected with a persisted, access-restricted key ring. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Children
The service is intended for adults running or watching tournaments and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
